To our knowledge, Merriman River Group was the only pollster--public or private--to correctly predict that Dan Malloy, rather than Ned Lamont, would win the Democratic Governor's Primary held on Tuesday August, 10, 2010. This result, which was part of a private poll for another state-wide race, was covered in the online newspaper "Only in Bridgeport."

"Just about every poll had Lamont ahead. One private poll by the Merriman River Group, which OIB hired to poll Mayor Bill Finch's standing with city voters one year ago, had Malloy pulling ahead of Lamont in the days before the primary." Link
